Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I buy your products?
All of our brands are carried by a wide variety of retailers and distributors, where the products are either stocked or available for special order. Check out each brand site for a list of specific stores in your area.
Where can I get samples?
Samples can be ordered through your local retailer or distributor.
How do I clean my decorative hardware?
For best results, use only a soft cloth, water, and a mild, non-alkaline soap. Avoid window cleaners, general kitchen cleaners and abrasive cleansers, as their ingredients may harm our products’ protective coating.
What kind of warranty do your products have?
Liberty, Bath Unlimited, Brainerd, betsyfieldsdesign® and Knob Hill products all carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Additional warranty information is available on our Customer Support page.
What is the difference between a knob and a pull?
A knob requires one fastener or screw. A pull requires two fasteners or screws.
How do I determine which size pull I need?
Carefully measure the space between the center of the first screw hole and the center of the second screw hole.
What is the industry standard size for cabinet pulls?
For cabinet pulls, standard center-to-center screw holes measure from 3 to 5 inches apart, or 64, 96, and 128 millimeters apart.
Why am I having trouble finding the right size pull?
Designs and trends change over years. Hardware on older cabinets, for example, may come in sizes that are no longer readily available. When replacing hardware, it is critical to know American measurements (inches) AND metric measurements (millimeters). It may be possible to do a moderate refit without having to completely change the screw hole locations.
How do I know what size drawer slide to choose?
The depth of your cabinet will determine the drawer slide length required. For example, a cabinet with a depth of 18” requires a drawer slide of 18” or less.
How do I choose the right Euro-hinge?
The type of Euro-hinge you need depends on the overlay (distance that the cabinet door extends past the door opening) of your door. Liberty Hardware hinges are available for full overlay doors, half overlay doors, and full inset doors.
Can I purchase your products in bulk?
Due to contractual obligations, we are unable to sell in bulk to the general public. However, if you need a large amount of hardware, it may be possible for you to purchase from a Liberty distributor in your local area.
Are Liberty Hardware pulls and knobs made with Solid Brass?
We use a variety of materials for our products, and those made from Solid Brass are clearly labeled. Most other metallic knobs and pulls are made of zinc, die cast with a plated finish, such as Brushed Satin Nickel, Antique Pewter, Chrome or Brass, along with a protective layer of lacquer overtop.
Can I use a Solid Brass Kick Plate on a steel door?
We do not recommend using solid brass against steel. Both the door and the kick plate would be subject to galvanic corrosion, caused by the different elements in these base metals. To prevent corrosion, use a magnetic Solid Brass Kick Plate.
